The above was copied from a publication by Private Eye magazine and written by Paul Foot: "Lockerbie, the Flight from Justice". Available during 2001/2002 — cost two pounds 50 pence and available (in the UK) by telephoning 020 7228 6457— this publication gives the background to the Lockerbie trial. It proves, once again, that any trial under British law (north or south of the border) is an absolute farce. Proceedings are continually fixed to get the result those in charge want. Buy the booklet and read it. It shows that the result was a political decision and has nothing to do with guilt or innocence. The subsequent appeal referred to by Professor Köchler - was of course - unsuccessful. He was duped, just like the rest of us.
